EDM Group Transform Releases "Wildfire"
Transform (formerly Transform DJs) releases its energetic, pop, electro-house and rap influenced single "Wildfire" that is already garnering Rock and Hot AC / CHR radio airplay nationally and is available at iTunes, Amazon.com, Spotify and more digital outlets globally through Deeplife Records.
"'Wildfire' is about the gospel, it's about bringing light into the darkness, it's about joining a movement to spread that light," says Transform member Tim Heil. "It's also about allowing the Holy Spirit to work in the lives of people to see the miraculous happen. We can explain biblically the various moves of the Holy Spirit, but what we cannot explain is a powerless church. A little bit of 'wildfire' is better than no fire."
"Our new song is about the love and passion of God burning in and through us in order to advance His Kingdom," adds Transform's Lorna Heil. "The fire of God is all consuming; it sets us ablaze so the world can see who Jesus is by allowing the Holy Spirit to demonstrate a great work and spread like wildfire!"
Named a "Rock Power Surge" and "Most Added" single at Rock radio on this week's radio trade publication, Christian Music Weekly (CMW), "Wildfire" also won RadioU's "Battle of the Buzz," was featured as DC Cavender's "Song of the Day" on WLJW Fuel 95.9 FM (Traverse City, MI), and is being played on Whip of Cords Radio (national), CrossRhythms (UK), WBFJ FM (Winston-Salem, NC) , WCVK FM (Bowling Green, KY), KBCU 88.1 (Newton, KS), WYPH Y102.5 FM (Manchester, CT) and more.
"Playing this song on Monday on The Overdrive Radio Show! I am LUVIN IT! Get it because the whole song is amazing! Transform are some massively talented peeps!" exclaims Ginger Beggs, Vision Radio 105.1 FM afternoons host, on Facebook.
Along with the radio airplay, "Wildfire" will also be available as a music video May 11 (see video teaser at https://youtu.be/05ATBvIqY4Y).
The new single follows Transform's widely acclaimed first, full-length album Never Alone, which released in 2015 and landed six songs on multiple Beatport charts, including hitting top 5 on both the Pop/Rock and Glitch Hop international radio play charts. The album also sparked international radio play for songs "Forever," "Valley" and the title track, which was later remixed by Audicid (Chris Howland). Both the single and remix further garnered international airplay on outlets like SevenFMland Mix 96.9 Barbados and can be heard now on Spotify and YouTube.
Transform also recently released I See You Moving - Original Redux, a new version of their debut single "I See You Moving" that received international recognition, DJ play and was featured in a web series by the group.
Transform, collectively Jonathan and Angela Burgess and Tim and Lorna Heil, take their unique, danceable worship experience to the world with the mission being "to share the Good News of Jesus through Holy Spirit-led performances, defend pre-born life and other defenseless people worldwide, and lead God's people into worship."
Taking their name from Romans 12:2, which exhorts, "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed...??," Transform began in the underground rave scene and club culture in Denver, CO. Partnering with some of Denver's top nightlife promoters, the group was known for hosting and promoting positive, drug-free events.
"Young people, who would have never stepped into a church, heard about or experienced the saving grace of Jesus," says Jonathan. "We unashamedly share the love of Jesus!"
"Dance music ministry has had to withstand considerable criticism down the years from conservative elements within the Church," shares Tony Cummings in his recent CrossRhythms feature on Transform. "Although the once widely held conviction that moving a body to heavily rhythmic music was in some way unchristian is now thankfully subsiding, there are still some within the Church uneasy about the use of instrumental dance music."
With their intense energy, voices for justice and hearts for worship, Transform continues to work to reach a culture practically untouched by the church.
Touring around the world, the group has been featured at festivals like Creation, Heavenfest, Ichthus, Sonshine, Rock The Desert, Lifelight, Youth Quest, Ignight, Maata (Finland), EO Beam (Netherlands), Lumination (Guatemala), Rock Without Limits (Germany), Festicert (Belgium), Creation Fest UK (England), Youth Alive (Scotland) and Key to Life Festival (Austria). Transform also performed in South Africa, Switzerland, Canada, Mexico and Estonia, with Switchfoot at the world-renowned Red Rocks Amphitheatre and on the March For Life (D.C.) mainstage that was featured by C-Span and sparked CNN, Washington Post, NPR, New York Times, Life Site, Circa, TheRebel.media and more coverage of Transform.
In addition to their live performances and new music, Transform has, since July 2017, hosted a weekly radio show, Movement Radio, which is being syndicated to various radio stations internationally. The show offers an inside look into the burgeoning world of Christian EDM.
