The Gaslight Anthem New Album 2014 Finished Shares Frontman Fallon
The Gaslight Anthem fans got some news this week to be very excited about. Brian Fallon (guitarist and lead vocalist) took to twitter to announce that they have finally completed their fifth studio album.
He wrote (@thebrianfallon): "Listening to the new masters for LP5! Can you believe we made 5 records?!?
Honored to play with these guys! @gaslightanthem"
The new album does not have an official release date set but is expected out this Summer. They recorded the album over 6 weeks in Nashville,TN at Blackbird studios. It will follow their 2012 album Handwritten (Mercury Records). You can purchase Handwritten or any of their albums at their official website HERE.
Last month in a Rolling Stone interview, Fallon described the record as "completely different than anything we had ever done before. Instead of going that extra step of just adding some organ or some background vocals, this time we actually really changed up a lot of the sounds." He added, "I went back and studied any band that had changed. I wanted to figure out how far you can go without pissing people off."
"The whole record was like, 'What can we create as a band using anything at our disposal, as long as we do it organically, without computers or samples?'" Fallon says. "If we wanted to try a synth, we'd try a synth. If we wanted to try a drum loop, we would do that."
Fallon has kept busy with other projects as well releasing music with his latest side project, Molly And The Zombies, and recording a guest spot on Every Time I Die's new album, From Parts Unknown.
