Learn How a 6-Year Old Propelled Zach Williams' "Old Church Choir" to #1

This week, singer and songwriter Zach Wiliams is at #1 on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs with "Old Church Choir." This is Williams' second #1 hit. His debut solo single "Chain Breaker" topped the Hot Christian Songs chart for nine weeks starting Nov. 19, 2016.
Yet, there is a story behind how "Old Church Choir" shot to #1 this week. On Oct 29, a 6-year-old in Dickson, Tennessee, named Loren Patterson performed the song for the first time with the Dickson First Baptist Church children's choir. After the service, Patterson's parents posted the video on social media and the clip has so far drawn 50 million Facebook views and 750,000 shares.
While Facebook itself doesn't contribute to the song's chart ranking, the viral explosion surely helped spike interest in Williams' "Choir," which hikes by 77 percent to 4,000 downloads sold in the week ending Nov. 9, according to Nielsen Music, and jumps 4-1 on Christian Digital Song Sales.
