Christian Hip-Hop Artist Life Through Colors Release "I Rise" Official Music Video, Watch Here (VIDEO)
The Montgomery, Alabama Christian hip-hop artists, Life Through Colors, have released the official video for their song "I Rise" on Sunday from their new album Aftermath. The hip-hop group chose director Red Spade to work on the "I Rise" video. You can watch the official video above.
"Have you ever felt like giving up, but then something inside of you told you that you can make it," asked Rockette, group member. "Listen to this track. God gave this to us and we're delivering the message."
The Christian hip-hop ground Life Through Colors is made up by the inner-city swag and transparent rhyme of Larry "Rockette" Rockette, Terry "T Pope" Pope and James "DJ Jimbo the Jet" Chapelle. They bring a reflection of the urban street culture that infiltrated the Mississippi and Alabama streets where they were raised. Amid lives ridden with failed expectations, broken promises, deferred dreams and a seemingly endless thirst for something greater they happened upon a different kind of "Southern Comfort" - an experience with God! Their journey of faith together is shaping their testimony, their sound and their destiny. For these resilient young men, it's not about having the perfect life but rather the right perspective around who controls your life. Today the rap trio is blazing a trail throughout the Southeast; using their collective gifts to inspire hope and change in the lives of young people.
They recently won awards for Hip-Hop Artists of the Year and CD of the Year for their album, Aftermath, at the 8th Annual Alabama People's Choice Awards held in Birmingham, Alabama.
