Hillary Scott Says Her Faith Deepened Two Years After Bus Fire

Two years ago, on April 16, 2015, Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott's tour bus caught fire. The incident not only frightened the singer, but it also deepened her faith in Jesus Christ. Now, on the two-year anniversary, she's reminiscing on that day and re-sharing the incredible recovery.
In an Instagram post on Sunday (April 16), Scott shares: "I kid you not, EVERYTHING in the back lounge was destroyed from the flames, except my Bible. The outside cover was burned and messed up but NOT ONE PAGE was missing. Y'all, God's Word will always stand. He is FOR YOU, WILL PROTECT YOU, AND HIS LOVE FOR YOU WILL NEVER FADE. My faith is forever deepened because of today. I hope this story deepens yours."
Two years ago, Hillary Scott, her husband and their tour manager were traveling from Nashville to Dallas to attend the ACM Awards, which are set to take place Sunday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. They were headed westbound on I-30 in Garland, Texas when the bus blew a tire and subsequently caught fire.
Scott broke the news via Instagram, assuring fans that everyone is okay despite the scare. "Hey guys, we had a crazy morning on the way to Dallas today. Our bus tire caught on fire and we had to evacuate very quickly," she writes. "EVERYONE IS SAFE AND SOUND. It was me, my husband, our tour manager, and driver. Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe. Love you all!!!!"
Scott's toddler daughter, Eisele, was not on the bus at the time. Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood were traveling separately.
Not too long ago, Hillary Scott and the Scott Family released their Christian album LOVE REMAINS (EMI Nashville, Capitol CMG). Its "heart-stopping" (Rolling Stone) lead single "Thy Will" also claims the No. one position on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs for the second week while dominating Billboard's Christian Digital Songs for its eighth consecutive week. Making an impact at radio, the hit single is No. 7 on the CHR chart and No. 11 at AC Indicator and AC Monitored.
