What's Next for Rory Feek After the Death of His Wife Joey?

Joey Feek, one half of the Christian country duo Joey + Rory Feek, passed away on Friday, March 4th, 2016, around 2:30pm, in her native hometown of Alexandria, IN. Joey had been fighting Stage IV cancer for nine months. The private funeral for Feek - who passed away at 40 - was set to be held on the Pottsville, Tennessee, farm she shared with her husband, Rory, 50, and their daughter Indiana, 2, per Joey's dying wish.
Now, what's next for Rory? Prior to Joey's passing, she has been encouraging Rory to tell their story. "She talked to me about how she wants me to continue to tell our story, and other stories," Rory - who has chronicled his journey with Joey on his blog This Life I Live - shared with PEOPLE in January. "This past spring I co-wrote and directed my first film, and she wants me to go on and continue writing and making more movies."
He added: "And she's also encouraged me to write a book. Joey and I have both experienced the power of living, and telling a great story, so I hope to be able to continue writing and being part of a great story."
Though Rory has stated he will not record again, this doesn't mean that some of their unreleased songs will not be repackaged into new albums to come. Meanwhile, their latest hymns album Hymns That Are Important To Us (Gaither Music Group) continue to sell well both in the Christian and country music markets.
The 13-song recording, produced by Rory and Joe West (except "When I'm Gone," which was produced by Gary Paczosa), also topped the Contemporary Christian Album chart, while the Hymns That Are Important To Us video landed in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Music Video chart and on the Christian Video chart. In addition, the audio recording took the No. 4 spot on this week's Billboard Top 200 chart.
Rory stated, "When the label called to give us the news I immediately took the phone in to Joey. This recording was 'hers' from the beginning. This is one that she has always wanted to make, and she's worked so hard to make it happen, in spite of the difficult circumstances she is facing. As I congratulated her, she responded through tears, 'No, Honey, this is God's record....'"
