Audrey Assad Plans on Releasing Her Hymns Album "Inheritance"

Singer and songwriter Audrey Assad will be releasing her new hymns album on February 12. The album entitled Inheritance is what she calls "a soundtrack for prayer."
Assad explains why she wanted to release a hymns album: "Hymns are congregational. In Church there's no audience, and no performers-just believers praying with one voice."
Inheritance was fan funded through a successful pledgemusic campaign. Fans who pledged to support the project will be getting the final digital files at least two weeks early. Pledgers also were able to offer input into which hymns Audrey chose to include on the project. "I'm excited that through PledgeMusic, I found a way to make this record a true collaboration with you. For the first 3 weeks of the pre-sale, you can vote on what hymns make it to the record, so you can hear your favorites! The earlier you get in on the pre-sale, the more voting you get to do, so make your order soon!! After the first 3 weeks we'll continue the voting with other items- you'll be invited to help me select the cover artwork, photos, posters, T-Shirts, and more!! I want this record to be a community effort, so that it truly has within its DNA that same spirit in which hymns were written. I am so excited to invite you into this process. I'll be putting up multiple videos from the studio and updating you regularly on how things are going. Can't wait to make music with you!"
