Liberty University Co-Founder, Dr. Elmer Towns Releases Christmas Novel "Three Searching Kings"

Best-selling author and Liberty University co-founder Dr. Elmer Towns has written his new novel Three Searching Kings just in time for Christmas. In Three Searching Kings, a Magi in Persia encounters two black Ethiopian captives being sold into slavery and frees them. He discovers that both slaves were born in a kingly line and have the qualifications of Magi. All three had aspired to be king but had been denied.
The three are accompanied by a Hebrew servant, who helps guide them to the Baby King. Following a bright star in the western sky, they set out on a dangerous journey to find the baby, who is to be their Savior.
"This story points your attention to eternal values," says Dr. Towns of Three Searching Kings. "Therefore, the story of the three Magi should make you look at your dreams in life that never happen, just as the three searching kings never became kings on this earth. Their dreams were powerful enough to motivate them to face sacrifice, experience danger, and overcome the prejudice of their past traditions and present environment to travel to Bethlehem to worship the King. In that intimate moment of worshiping the Baby King, they took on the kingly qualities they pursued throughout life. Could that happen to you?"
Dr. Elmer Towns is the co-founder of Liberty University, the largest private nonprofit university in the world. Towns is also a prominent Christian leader, author, and speaker on the principles of church growth, church leadership, Christian education, Sunday School, prayer and fasting. He has authored over 170 books, eight of which are listed on the Christian Booksellers Bestselling List. In 1995 he received the Gold Medallion Award from the Evangelical Christian Booksellers Association for Book of the Year in Biblical Studies, "The Names of the Holy Spirit."
Most recently, Dr. Towns served as the Dean of the B. R. Lakin School of Religion, Dean of the Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary, and Distinguished Professor of Systematic Theology at Liberty University. In the fall of 2013, Towns announced he would be taking a sabbatical from his teaching and administration duties to focus on speaking and writing. He lives in Lynchburg, VA.
