Listen to the Late Lynn Anderson's Last Single "Drift Away Gospel"

Lynn Anderson, the veteran country music singer known for hits such as "Rose Garden" and "Top of the World," died on July 30, at 67 years of age. Before she passed away, she released her final and first Gospel album "Bridges." Now, a new single from that album has been released. It's entitled "Drift Away Gospel" and it is Anderson's last single.
"Drift Away Gospel" is a re-imagined version of Dobie Gray's 1973 hit "Drift Away," which was originally written by Anderson's partner, Mentor Williams.
Williams re-wrote the song for Anderson, and the new lyrics give the song its gospel edge. While many of the lyrics stay true to the original, in addition to a few verse changes, the chorus is totally new: "I give you my heart, Lord / You free my soul / I wanna walk down those streets of gold / And drift away."
"Bridges is Mom's first religious CD in her long career of making music. It has been our soundtrack the past few months, and now, it's become the perfect memoir," Anderson's daughter, Lisa Sutton, says. "Like a gift left behind, delivered as only Mom can ... It's almost like it was meant to be."
Bridges is available for download via iTunes and Amazon.
