The Kingsmen's Randy Crawford's Son Was in a Serious ATV Accident

Mitchell Crawford, the 11-yr. old son of Kingsmen baritone Randy Crawford, has been involved in a serious ATV accident on April 9th. Injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, however he has been airlifted to a more advanced facility. The Craford family and Kingsmen seek all our prayers in this stressful time.
The Kingsmen have updated us on Facebbook:
They weren't able to airlift him due to the weather in their area, but he was carried by ambulance to the hospital he needed to be at. Thankfully, he has no internal, head or spinal injuries, but has several broken bones in one leg, the most serious of which is his femur. This will require surgery, probably on Friday morning. Randy is on his way back to North Carolina to be with Mitchell and his family. We thank George Frederick for being kind enough to fill in during Randy's absence, including tonight! None of us knew he'd be singing with us when he and his family showed up for our concert, but he did an outstanding job. Thank you all for your prayers on Mitchell's behalf and please keep them coming.
Since the conception of the group in 1956, the Kingsmen have sold countless records and compilations. They have had received Grammy nominations, four Dove Awards and an induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame (Class of 2000), the Kingsmen continue to carry the legacy on today.
"The key is to never lose sight of what we are working towards," says Ray Reese, Kingsmen manager and bass singer. "We tour year in and year out to spread our music to people across the country. Our music has a message, the message of Christ. Every night we work to bring His message to our audience. Our goal is to see people saved through Jesus Christ whether it is indoors, outdoors, in an auditorium, church, on cd or video."
Few groups today can boast the kind of far-reaching legacy that comes with a 50-year career as one of Gospel Music's most influential artists. The Kingsmen build on the momentum of the past and help define Southern Gospel for a new generation of music lovers today.
