'The Biggest Loser Glory Days' Season 16 Latest News, Updates and Spoilers : Which Past Loser Will Rule the 'Comeback Canyon?'
Be a winner; better yet be a HEALTHY winner! That is the main target of the TV series "The Biggest Loser." Obese people will try to do everything not just to win great prizes but to lose all unwanted weight. At the end of the day, being healthy is the biggest prize contestants will get from the series.
NBC TV network presented the landmark 16th season of the much-loved reality show "The Biggest Loser: Glory Days" on Sep. 11. Professional trainers Dolvett Quince and Bob Harper are back together with new trainers Jennifer Widerstrom and Jessie Pavelka. Former trainer Jillian Michaels left the show for good. Meanwhile, it is an 'all ex-athletes' season for the series. Viewers will see former athletes try their luck in getting rid of excess weight.
Time to get serious contestants! "The Biggest Loser: Glory Days" TV series came up with something different this season. Contestants eliminated will have another chance to lose some pounds even after they bid adieu to the ranch. All eliminated contestants will work with Bob Harper in a top-secret session called "Comeback Canyon". Quince, Pavelka and Widerstrom will train the other contestants in the ranch.
Harper will train two eliminated contestants every week; losing more weight would mean another chance to stay. Contestants who can't lose more pounds will have to pack their bags for good. No third chances; no prizes or bonuses. Plain and simple - lose the weight or ship out!
This strategy will happen week after week up to such time when the last person standing in the "Comeback Canyon" scales returns to the show's venue - ranch to join in the other contestants in the semi-finals. He/she will still get the opportunity to be "The Biggest Loser" of the season.
So far, the show has eliminated seven contestants. Contestants left are Gina Haddon, Jordan Alicandro, Jackie Pierson, Blake Benge, Howard Carter, Rondalee Beardslee, Lori Harrigan-Mack, Toma Dobrosavljevic, Scott Mitchell, Rob Guiry, Sonya Jones, Damien Woody and John O'Malley.
Update Alert!!
The remaining contestants have lost 700 lbs. But more challenges are still up ahead in the next episode "Penalty Box". Have you tried the newest exercise called "water treadmill"? Yap! Using the treadmill over water! If that won't make you lose weight, we don't know what will. The winning team gets the opportunity to penalize the two unfortunate teams.
'Penalty box' episode airs Oct. 30, 2014. Alison Sweeney is the host of "The Biggest Loser: Glory Days". Dave Broome is the show creator while Eden Gaha is the executive producer.
"The Biggest Loser" TV program is an NBC leading franchise series.
