The Mentalist Season 7 Preview and Spoilers: The Final and Encore Year for the Show to Premiere With "Nothing But Blue Skies"
The Mentalist Season 7 episode 1 release date has not yet been officially announced by CBS but it's already been revealed that it will be called "Nothing But Blue Skies." In fact, while there is still no complete The Mentalist Season 7 episode guide, it has already been reported by various sources that the episodes following the premiere will be entitled "The Graybar Hotel," "The Orange Blossom Ice Cream," "Pink Rocks," "Silver Briefcase," "Green Light," "Little Yellow House," "The Whites of His Eyes," "Copper Bullet," "Nothing Gold Can Stay," and "Byzantium," respectively. The Mentalist Season 7, which will comprise of just 13 episodes, will be the final season of the long-running police procedural TV series. Show creator and producer Bruno Heller told The Hollywood Reporter that the seventh season will also be "like an encore. [and] The purpose of an encore is to get people leaving the theater happy and giving them what they want and hitting your marks as strong as possible, so that will be the intention."
The Mentalist Season 7 cast will have Simon Baker as the titular mentalist Patrick Jane, Robin Tunney as Teresa Lisbon, Tim Kang as Kimball Cho, Owain Yeoman as Wayne Rigsby, Amanda Righetti as Grace Van Pelt, and Rockmond Dunbar as Dennis Abbot. Emily Swallow who played as FBI Agent Kim Fischer last season will not be returning for the seventh season. Dylan Baker, according to Entertainment Weekly, has landed a guest-starring role as Special Agent Bill Peterson, a hard-nosed veteran DEA agent who was Abbott's boss when the two worked together at a border station known as Rio Bravo. Derek Phillips and Rob Belushi have also landed guest-starring roles as Stan and Jimmy Lisbon, Teresa's younger brothers. Morena Baccarin will also be returning as guest to reprise her role as sexy sociopath Erika Flynn, who previously manipulated and seduced Patrick Jane. Josie Loren who plays FBI rookie Michelle Vega, says TV Line, has been promoted to regular cast member.
