Demi Lovato New Album Releasing in 2015
International pop superstar, Demi Lovato, just wrapped up the U.S. dates for her World Tour. The tour included special guests Christina Perri and MKTO and ran from September 6th in Baltimore, MD and wrapped up on Saturday night, October 25th in Newark, NJ.
Phil McIntyre, Lovato's manager, told Billboard last week that a new album is coming.
"She's finishing up right now on the last leg of her touring for this year, and we finish it up with a couple of radio shows. Then the plan is for her to go back into the studio and start the next creative process. She's already done some songs, but certainly the majority of it will kick off next year."
Disney Music Group president Ken Bunt continues, "We're really excited. We've got a new album coming from her next year. We're not talking about release dates yet. And she's going to continue her world tour throughout next year."
Her latest album, the self-titled Demi that released in 2013 and has yielded the hit singles "Heart Attack" and "Neon Lights" and sold over 5 million tracks globally.
In 2008, Lovato rose to prominence in the Disney Channel television film Camp Rock and signed a recording contract with Hollywood Records. She released her debut album, Don't Forget, that September; it has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of over 530,000 copies.
Her second album, Here We Go Again, was released that July and debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200; its title track became her first single to break the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100, reaching number 15, and being certified platinum.
Her third album, Unbroken (2011), addresses several of her difficulties. Its lead single, "Skyscraper", became Lovato's first single at the time to be certified platinum in the United States; its second single, "Give Your Heart a Break", was certified triple platinum.
Her fourth album, Demi (2013), had first-week sales of 110,000 copies (the best debut week of Lovato's recording career). Demi was preceded by its lead single, "Heart Attack" (certified triple platinum in the United States), that February. A total of four singles were released from Demi, including "Made in the USA", "Neon Lights", which was certified Platinum in the US, and her latest single "Really Don't Care".
