Borderlands The Pre-Sequel Mode Update: Game Developers Have Put In A Standalone Mode Into The Gameplay Of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Whereby The Game Can Now Be Played In A Third Person Mode
We have the latest for you on the mode update of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Game developers, Modders have already started receiving good reviews following the release of their latest game in the franchise, Borderlands: the Pre-sequel. Fans have gained favor with the game since the developers decided to put in a standalone mode into the gameplay. In earlier sequels the game that has been a first-person shooter game can now be played in a third person mode i.e. over-the-shoulder camera angle. This a new perspective in the game and prospects of it building an even larger fan base is eminent, according to International Business Times news.
This new mod was created by YouTuber TFXLive who in the past had created a similar mod for Borderland 2, this new mode targets gamers who prefer 3rd person gameplay i.e. 3rd person shooter games like Gears of War and Uncharted. In reference to borderland, it is a special exceptional add to the game because the game offers a variety of items that are good in the 3rd person mod. The game offers extensive list of custom character skins that gamers can usually only see in the pause menu (or by other players).
In a statement released by TFXLive, they explained that the change of the first sequel of Borderlands to third person mode was not as hard as they simply edited the game's .in file but in regards to Borderlands 2 it was a bit tricky as it rejected the code imputed in the first installment that involved editing, they had to make the changes in the game's memory. Unreal Engine 3 is the set modified versions that the Borderlands series runs on. Well, running on the Unreal Engine 3 makes it easy for the game to be a third person shooter game as it takes advantage of the character camera that exists in most versions of Unreal, according to Wired news.
The Pre-sequel mode is standalone unlike the previous installments that were third person shooter which meant that some third party games had to be injected in the script of the game. One downside of this mode is one cannot see characters' melee weapons. The mode works best with a mouse and keyboard control scheme, according to Game Rant news.
