"Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) Update: "Cyborg" Will Have a Solo Superhero Film
DC Comics will be releasing another super hero film on 2016, which is an intended sequel to 2013's "Man of Steel." This is "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice." According to Cinema Blend, the movie will involve Superman facing off against Batman and then, if the rumors pan out, teaming up with him to face a greater threat.
Included in the cast are Amy Adams, Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill, Holly Hunter, Jason Momoa and more. The movie is based on the story written by Zack Snyder and David Goyer and directed by Zack Snyder as well.
Now according to Movie News Guide, Warner Studio also revealed that there will also be a solo superhero film for the character "Cyborg." Ray Fisher is confirmed to play the role of 'Cyborg' for the upcoming movie "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice."
In his interview with Entertainment Weekly, he said that he was called by the producers of WB to inform him about his role, some hours before the announcement of WB about their 10 DC titled pictures. "When I signed on, I just wanted to be part of this world. But that specific information, I found out then and there. I didn't think I'd be getting my own stand-alone film," said the 27-year-old actor in an interview with EW.
Just some pinch of trivia for you guys: this is in fact the second superhero film that Ben Affleck has played a starring role. The first was as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the film "Daredevil" last 2003. Similar to Batman, Daredevil was also a martial artist and was driven to crime-fighting due to the death of a family member. And here's another one, Ben Affleck once stated in an interview that he asked the producers if he can have the Batman suit when the filming was complete, the producers answered yes, but here's the thing, Affleck would have to pay one hundred thousand dollars in order to keep it. So, he quickly asked if he can just take a picture with it.
Well, that's all for now, more updates to post sooner or later, don't forget to watch out for the "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice" showing in theatres near you on March 25, 2016.
