Archie Will Meet 'Twin Peaks' and 'Afterlife' on Halloween Special
"Afterlife of Archie" will be shown on the episode "Riverdale." The "Riverdale" episode will show the Halloween in Archie's community where there will be zombies' apocalypse on the new break of traditional Archie's show and it will also feature darkness and weirdness. "Riverdale" is an action high-drama show that is also called as "Twin Peaks."
On "Twin Peaks," Veronica and Bety will meet each other on the pilot episode and the show will telecast how the two friends, from different backgrounds and different interest, would come together and be the famous high school group friends. Pussycats and Jose will also take part on the show.
The "Twin Peaks" episode is just like the "Gotham" which is focused on a community of characters. The Gotham and Archie are being telecast in Fox. Gotham was produced by Greg Berlanti, who has worked with Warner Bros; meanwhile, Archie was sold to Warner Bros.
According to Comic Book Resources, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is the writer of the pilot episode of "Riverdale," and the story behind the "Riverdale" was the idea of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, and Francesco Francavilla. Aguirre-Sacasa placed "Riverdale" into unlikely crossovers of "Archie Meets Predator," "Archie Meets The Punisher," "Archie Meets David Lynch," while the "Twin Peaks" is the classic version of Archie's identity and his relationships.
According to Comic Book, Aguirre-Sacasa said that the "Riverdale" is the "Archie Meets Twin Peaks," while the "Archie Meets Predator" is the "Archie Meets David Lynch." According to Uproxx, the "Archie Meets Twin Peaks" is like an SNL sketch, in which, it is a groundbreaking series that combines the Modern Family-like collection of the Emmys. The "Riverdale" was considered weird because in spite of the Halloween story of it, the setting would be on present time and not on the past, which viewers normally see on a typical ghost story.
"Riverdale" will take the story in a small town full of darkness but on a wholesome façade, it is a teen soap opera genre that includes black humor. The Archie's show attempt to hit the box office is not expected to be like the failing of "Josie and Pussycats."
