Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Available By February 2015
Bandai Namco Games' Dragon Ball Xenoverse will be released on February 13, 2015, on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. It will also ship for PC via Steam on February 17. Those who will pre-order the game console versions will get a black metal case of Shenron, two in-game Frieza Soldier's battle suits, and Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta as a playable character which won't be sold afterwards. Those who will pre-order for the PC version via steam will also get the two in-game Frieza Soldier's battle suits and Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta as a playable character. A "Trunks Travel Edition" of the console versions will ship at the same time and include a 25-centimeter Future Trunks figurine.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse, unlike the previous games of the series, will feature an entire new story, including a player-created character not seen anywhere else in the franchise. Players can customize this character's race, gender, head, build, and clothing. Also, Time Patrol Trunks who was seen in Dragon Ball Online will be a full playable appearance in the game. Two new areas will be showcased: a new Hyperbolic Time Chamber-like area called the 'Time Storage Vault,' and a high-tech city with what appears to be a Time Machine. The story line will feature mysterious forces manipulating history, with the player's objective being to restore the timeline. In the game, players can traverse through the levels and freely roam around as they fight on a platform, in the air, and underwater. They can run when on the ground and swim while underwater. In the game's 'Story Mode,' players can choose among to customize characters among the five significant races in the Dragon Ball mythology: Saiyan, Earthling, Majin, Namekian and Frieza's race.
