'Key and Peele' Duo On Their First Joint Movie Project 'Keanu'
The comedy duos Jordan Peele and Keegan-Micheal Key recently had their names attached to a certain movie projects including one from their hit comedy series “Key and Peele." But now, it seems that they have a new official film project called “Keanu”.
This film will be under New Line Cinema. Their famous sketch shows the "Key and Peele" had just entered the fourth season and it has been nominated for Emmy awards. They have worked together on Mad TV and the public have seen their potential in having a comedy together so they have developed a strong influence to each other.
Although the duos had their individual roles in movies such as “Little Fockers” and “The Lego Movie” respectively, this will be the first film that they will be working on together.
Reports from Deadline stated that Key and Peele signed a contract together with New Line on their official film project. Before fans would bummed out that it was not what they think it is, read on.
The film “Keanu” is the name of the cat. It will be stolen by a gang. It will follow a friend who will act as undercover to infiltrate the crime to get back their pet. Jordan Peele and Alex Rubens wrote the script. They have also written for the “Key and Peele” and “Community”.
Key and Peele had also attached their name to the remake of the “Police Academy” and Judd Apatow project. They will also doing a film wherein they will act as a substitute teacher from their “Key and Peele” movie.
According to First Showing Net, Key and Peele’s official film project “Keanu” will surely beat the other upcoming comedy films. The production will start on April 2015 in Los Angeles. Both of them will be the star in the movie. It will be directed by Peter Attencio who has been in every episode of “Key and Peele." He has done a great job giving the episode a cinematic style especially when he spoofs the big screen target.
Fans should watch out for that when the production of “Keanu” begins.
