"Battlefield 4" News Update: New DLC Pack Coming
Before releasing DICE's new "Battlefield Hardline," a new downloadable content pack will be released for "Battlefield 4."
Named "Final Stand," the big DLC update will include four new gigantic maps that are set in the country of Russia. "Operation Whiteout" will feature a Siberian setting, while "Hammerhead" is set inside a submarine, "Hangar 21" will be featuring an underground facility, and lastly, "Giants of Karella," will be set in a faraway rural location with a high technology factory of weapons.
New weapons will also be provided in the "Final Stand" DLC.
According to Express, a new tank named HT-95 Levkov battle tank, will be featured in the DLC. The said tank will be able to move not only forward and backward, but also sideways. A flying drone named XD-1 Accipiter is also featured, along with the strong Rorsch MK-1 rail gun.
Another new device to be featured in the DLC is the DS-3 DECOY, which, if used, will make the opponents' radar show false locations of other players.
In addition to the already useful decoy gadget, a Target Detector will also be added. The said gadget will be a weapon attachment for DMR's and Carbines and will give players the capability to auto-target enemy players.
A total of five new trophies and achievements plus 10 new side missions will be included in the Final Stand DLC, Gospel Herald reports.
Airherald also reports that the upcoming DLC pack was tested by PC players of the Community Test Environment just recently. The said community tests and pre-plays beta versions of upcoming content for Battlefield 4. The company also tested a new upcoming map last September 9. A premium PC account is needed to be part of the Community Test Environment.
No final release date is announced yet, but rumors speculate that it will be released before the end of the year. The company is also busy dealing with the preparations of their upcoming video game title, "Battlefield Hardline," which will be released in early 2015.
According to the developers, the beta testing feedback of "Battlefield Hardline" from the players have been positive so far, with changes and requests being taken into consideration to ensure a high quality video game.
