Three American Teens Joining ISIS News and Reveals: Individuals are Detained in Germany after Trying to Join Militants
The three American teenagers that tried to join ISIS have been reprimanded and are being held back on American soil. The three girls in question are 18 years of age, one is of Sudanese origin and the other two are of Somali decent. The FBI are investigating the particulars around this case; why they indeed planning on joining the ISIS? If so, who was their contact and where were they going to meet. The FBI reports that the girls were headed to the Islamic State in Syria when they were caught in Germany. This was made possible when one of the girls' parents alerted the FBI about their daughter's plans. Upon receiving these reports, the FBI flagged their passports leading to their detainment in Germany.
Why three teenage girls choose to leave their home and join a militant group is still a baffling matter. It is claimed that the girls intended on joining ISIS in order to "to fulfill what they believe is some vision that has been put out on a slick media campaign." It begs the questions how many more of our teenagers are being brain washed by the images and reports that are constantly bombarding our screens and social media fronts.
According to the VOA News, the girls disappeared from their homes last week choosing to travel from Colorado, Chicago and finally Frankfurt which is where their movements were tracked from. Their parents reported them missing to the authorities in Denver who worked hand in hand with the authorities in Germany to track down the girls. Once they got to Germany VOA News reports that one of the girls tried to fool the authorities into believing that they were travelling to Turkey to study. The FBI are still holding the girls but insist none will face any criminal charges.
