The First ‘Snapchat’ Ad: Unique But Creepy

The First 'Snapchat' Ad: Unique But Creepy
For a long time, Snapchat has been considered an ad-free social media group, though it's been difficult to incorporate them with other ad-free services. This has forced Snapchat to commence varied advertisements to show-off their application.
According to Snapchat, "The best kind of advertisements reveal to audiences the stuff that genuinely interests them. There are companies that waste a lot of time collecting tremendous amount of information about their fans. We, on the other hand, are releasing a much simpler product."
They added, "Our advertisement will pop-out in your screen's Recent Updates many times a day, and it's your choice if you'd want to check it out or not. No big deal. Just like other advertisements and stories, it'll go instantly when viewed or within the next 24-hours if not opened."
The most interesting thing is that, Snapchat advertisements will not appear directly in Stories; rather, in the ads that are incorporated in the Feature section. The company mentioned clearly in their statements that they will have to generate money and their ads will be one of the ways to achieve it.
Snapchat's plan is to unveil their new app named Snapchat Discovery, which allows its users to checkout movie clips, TV shows, advertisements, and news articles. Together with Snapchat ads, through selling services and goods, Snapchat can generate income.
The company that's been in business for three years has been under tremendous pressure of generating revenue after their evaluation of their business model's integration with the free application. Their photo-sharing application has become more popular amongst teens who are looking for the most private avenues to exchange messages with friends. "Snapchat" has been managing tasks with several other media companies, which include television networks, magazines, and newspapers for a brand new service that operates disappearing ads referred to as Snapchat discovery. The new program is said to be launched in 2015.
The Verge has revealed that Snapchat has run its first ever ad already on its disappearing app. This, actually, was a trailer for the newest horror movie "Ouija". The movie's trailer was released to users' "recent updates" that's typically reserved for their friends. Even before the "Snapchat" showed up, the company has already oriented its people about its release through the Snapchat Blog.
