Sony Xperia M2 Aqua vs Xperia T2 Ultra Features, Specs, Display: A Comprehensive Review and Comparison
Sony smartphone platform has passed very busy schedule with their Xperia series. The current smartphone from Z series Xperia Z3 has just been released while other Xperia T series and M series have been a bit silent after the release of Xperia M2 Aqua and Xperia T2 Ultra. Let's have quick review on both of the handsets from Sony.
Xperia T2 Ultra has capitalized on the screen size as it has giant 6-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The pixel density has been decently maintained with 245 pixels per inch. The display type is IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 assists the color department.
The Xperia M2 Aqua has moderate 4.8-inch display size where the pixels are filled with 229 pixels per inch. The display type is same as T2 Ultra with 540 x 960 pixels. As the name says Aqua, this device is IP68 certified that means it is waterproof and can survive in 1 meter underwater for 30 minutes according to GSMARENA.
Sony mid ranged smartphones are packed with standard camera quality with budget price. Xperia T2 Ultra can be put on the list as it has 13MP of rear facing camera that can record video of 1080p at 30 fps. The front camera has not been up to the mark as the rear camera standard as it has only 1.1MP camera sensor. The Xperia M2 Aqua has similar type of problem where user will be achieving better pixels in rear camera at 8MP sensor while the front camera has disappointing VGA based sensor as mentioned in Android Headlines.
The hardware department of Xperia T2 Ultra has Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with Quad-Core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A7 processor as stated in the The Fuse Joplin. The Xperia M2 Aqua has Qualcomm-Snapdragon 400 chipset with Quad-Core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 processor. The GPU segment has same type of chip (Adreno 305) for both the devices.
Even both the devices have similarities in the memory part also. Both of them are packed with 1 GB of RAM and 8GB of available internal storage. The storage facility is expandable to 32GB with additional microSD card slot. Xperia T2 Ultra has operating system Android version 4.3 Jellybean which is upgradable to 4.4 KiKat while Xperia M2 Aqua runs on 4.4 KitKat.
