"The Good Wife" Spoilers: Kalinda Set to Leave the Show After the Sixth Season - Reasons Why Archie Panjabi Has to Bid Goodbye
"The Good Wife" is one of the CBS' successful TV drama series, seeing that it is now on its sixth season. Of course, the show had to bid goodbye to some of its key cast members, such as Josh Charles, who had to say farewell last season to the rest of the cast and the staff. Now that the show has been renewed for another season, viewers will be sad to know that they would have to see another core cast member leave the set. This is one of The Good Wife's spoilers that many are not excited to learn.
According to International Business Times, the sixth season of the drama show will be the final for Archie Panjabi, who plays Kalinda Sharma. Kalinda has been part of the TV series since it began back in the year 2009, which is why many fans as well as the entire cast and staff are sad about her upcoming departure.
Reports that the key reason as to why actress Panjabi has to conclude her contract with CBS and say goodbye to her role as Kalinda, is because of a new opportunity. She has gone into a new deal with the 21st Century Fox Television. The report says that her new talent deal involves her starring in a new pilot that is already in the works.
In a statement, as Inside Pulse has cited, Robert and Michelle King, the creators of the hit drama TV series, said that "Archie is an amazing actress who helped build Kalinda from the ground up as an enigmatic, powerful, and sexy character." They also emphasized how great it was to have worked with the actress, pointing out that, "It's been a pleasure to write for her, and we'll be sad to see her go; but we still have her for the rest of Season 6." The creators say that viewers do not have to say goodbye to her character just yet, as they would still see Kalinda during the entire duration of the sixth season of the show.
As Inquisitr has pointed out, fans, having been made privy to the news of Kalinda's exit early on, are now speculating how she will be taken off the show.
