Lenovo Unveiled 6 New Yoga Tablets with Android and Windows OS, and in 8-Inch, 10.1-Inch and 13.3-Inch Models
Lenovo on October 9 launched six new next-generation Yoga Tablets, three with Android 4.4 and three with Windows 8.1operating systems. The Android Yoga series has the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro, the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 (10.1-inch) and the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 (8-inch). The Windows Yoga series is comprised of the Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro, the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 (10.1-inch) and the Lenovo Tablet 2 (8-inch).
The Android 4.4 powered Yoga Tablet 2 Pro is 13.3-inch and has QHD 2560 x 1440 resolution, Intel Atom processor, 32GB storage, an embedded projector, a 15 hour battery life, optional 4G, a 1.6MP front camera, and an 8MP rear camera. It will be released late in October for $499. On the other hand, the 10.1-inch version of the Android tablet has Full HD 1920 x 1200 resolution, an Intel Atom processor, a 1.6MP front camera and 8MP rear camera, and an 18 hour battery life though. The price is $299. With respect to the 8-inch version, it has Full HD 1920 x 1200 resolution model, an Intel Atom processor, and the same 1.6MP front camera and 8MP rear camera as all the other models. It has an 18 hour battery life. The price is just $249.
The Windows 8.1 OS powered Yoga 3 Pro is a 13.3-inch ultrabook that is touted to be the thinnest yet. It features a 3200 x 1800 resolution display, a new Intel Core M-70 processor, 512GB storage and 8GB of RAM. It also has 2x USB 3.0 ports. It has a battery life of 9 hours. It notably comes with 'Harmony,' a software which adapts settings when the user changes among the Yoga ultrabook's modes (laptop, stand, tent, and tablet). The price begins at $1349. With respect to the 10.1-inch Windows Tablet 2, it has a Full HD 1920 x 1200 resolution, an Intel Atom processor, a 1.6MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera. It has a battery life of 15 hours. The price is $399. Finally, the 8-inch windows version of Yoga Tablet 2 has a Full HD 1920 x 1200 resolution, an Intel Atom processor, a 1.6MP front camera, and an 8MP rear camera. It also has a battery life of 15 hours. The price is presently still to be announced.
