Michael W. Smith
Tonight at 7 p.m (PT), multi-award winning artist Michael W. Smith will be performing on a special music edition of TBN's "Praise the Lord" hosted by Jason Crabb. Other guests scheduled to appear are worship leader Jeff Slaughter, Fox News anchor Kelly Wright (who sings as well as he delivers the news) and the West Virginia-based Shaffer Band.
In a press release, TBN Vice President Matthew Crouch said, "Michael W. Smith has been a valued guest at TBN many times during his long and influential career. He always touches our studio audience and TV viewers with his anointed music, and his humble, gracious spirit. We're excited to welcome him again to our 'Praise the Lord' program."
The two-hour long program will be broadcast live from Nashville's famed Trinity Music City but if you miss the live show, you can watch it at your convenience online on itbn.org.
Smitty, as his fans call him, will turn 56 on October 7th. During his illustrious career in Christian music, he has released 22 albums and ten books and has won several Doves and GRAMMY Awards along the way. The father of five has had 28 #1 songs and sales that exceed 10 million units.
