Lee Greenwood Performs at Trump’s Birthday and U.S. Army 250th Anniversary Celebration

Beloved country music icon Lee Greenwood delivered a stirring performance of his timeless anthem "God Bless the U.S.A." today at a historic event held in the nation's capital. The celebration marked the 250th anniversary of the United States Army and coincided with the 79th birthday of President Donald J. Trump.
The grand celebration, which took place on the National Mall, featured a military parade showcasing tanks, helicopters, and over 6,000 troops. Greenwood's performance was one of the emotional high points of the day, drawing cheers from a crowd of thousands and reinforcing themes of patriotism and national pride.
"It's always an honor to support our troops and veterans," Greenwood shared. "To perform on the Army's 250th anniversary, and to celebrate my friend President Trump's birthday in the process, made this an unforgettable day."
The parade concluded with a swearing-in ceremony for 250 new recruits, a precision parachute jump by the Army's elite Golden Knights, a celebratory concert, and a fireworks finale.
Greenwood's song "God Bless the U.S.A." has become a patriotic staple since its release in 1984, often performed at presidential events and national commemorations.
