Brian Green, Steven Curtis Chapman's Music Director & Keyboardist, Passes Away

Multi-GRAMMY® Award winning artist Steven Curtis Chapman has announced that his beloved keyboardist and music director Brian Green has passed away. Green died due to the complications associated with contracting COVID-19. Green died on September 1st and he was 60 years-old.
Green was a world class musican who has won GMA Dove Awards and he even received a Grammy nomination. Chapman announces, "A couple of weeks ago I asked you all to join me in praying for my dear friend and former keyboard player and band leader, Brian Green. Some of you may know by now, but Brian went to be with Jesus this past Sunday.
Brian was (and is) truly one of the best and kindest men I've ever had the honor of knowing. His love for his wife Wendi and his family, his love for Jesus, and his friendship all marked my life deeply...I'm a better man because I had the privilege of walking and working alongside Brian on our journey this side of the veil. And while there are no words for the depth of loss felt by all who knew him, especially his family, I'm so thankful that we can grieve with Hope knowing that the story of Brian's life is so far from over...because the Gospel is true! Please join me in continuing to pray for Wendi and the Green family."
Green was also the owner of Castlebury Productions. Besides playing keyboards for Chapman, Green had also served as an arranger, producer, and musician for other artists including Cindy Morgan, Twila Paris, Holly Near, Phil Driscoll, Carman, anf many others. In 2008 he started working with Chapman as his tour musical director, performing with Chapman all across the nation.
