Nichole Nordeman Releases "Every Mile Mattered"

Today, award-winning singer-songwriter Nichole Nordeman releases her fifth full-length studio record, Every Mile Mattered. The album is the follow up to her 2015 EP, The Unmaking, which featured the viral hit "Slow Down" that garnered over 23 million views.
Featuring the tracks "Every Mile Mattered", "Sound of Surviving", "You're Here", and the vulnerable introspective "Dear Me", Every Mile Mattered is a collection of songs taking a reflective look at her life's path to becoming the woman she is today. It's about the journey, the ups and downs of life, and not looking back with regret, but with gratitude. Also included is a beautiful newly recorded version of "Slow Down" featuring Nichole singing with her daughter, Pepper Ingram.
On Nichole's recent appearance on KTUL's Good Day Tulsa, she says of the new album's sound: "It's an evolution. I think that fans of my older albums will still recognize me in this sound, but I think I've grown up a little bit and had a lot of fun experimenting with some new pop sounds on this project."
Following the release of the album, Nichole's upcoming parenting book Slow Down will be released on August 22nd via Thomas Nelson. The book includes intimate essays from Nichole, in addition to testimonies and stories from listeners, practical help and wisdom on slowing down, and tangible tools that will inspire readers to savor daily parenting moments. "Nichole's beautiful song 'Slow Down' connected with so many of us so deeply and so immediately because she says what we all want to say, and she makes us feel less alone and less crazy for feeling those things," said Shauna Niequist, New York Times best-selling author, in the foreword. She has twice been named GMA's Female Vocalist of the Year and is also a noted lyricist who has won 9 Dove Awards.
