Triumphant Celebrates Their 15th Year Anniversary with "Thankful"

StowTown Records is excited to announce the brand new release, Thankful, from multi-award winning Triumphant Quartet! It's the third project the fan-favorite group has released since joining the StowTown team in 2014, coming on the heels of two very successful albums: Living In Harmony and He Is Christmas.
Haun collaborated with both Joel Lindsey and Triumphant's popular baritone, Scott Inman, to write and compose two special songs on the recording, "God Will Always Be God" and "The Cross is All the Proof I Need."
In addition, Inman and Lindsey cowrote the catchy tune "Bottom of the Barrel," which features longtime Triumphant bass Eric Bennett. The first radio single, "Chain Breaker," written by Jonathan Smith, Mia Fieldes and Zach Williams, is already receiving rave reviews and quickly moving up the charts. To cap off the impressive project, Inman and Lee Black came together to write two upbeat, heartfelt songs: "Thankful, So Thankful" and "Never Assume."
Q: Thank you so much for doing this interview with us. With this year being your 15th year since Triumphant has been together, what were some of the highlights you are thankful for over these years?
We're thankful to have stayed together all of these years. The 4 singers are all original members. Sometimes situations arise that you can't help but so far, so good. Seeing people saved, Christians uplifted, friendships made by those who attend our concerts, are all highlights. Also wanna mention singing twice at Carnegie hall in NYC and going to the Grammys as nominees in 2011.
Q: What were some of the lows or disappointments that helped you grow along the way?
Well, life is full of disappointments. Too many to list. the good thing is as Christians... God walks with us through our problems and we learn a greatly during that.
Q: How do you think you music has changed or remained constant over the last 15 years?
Well one thing is the consistency of the members in the group.. we also try to stay as current as possible..Without losing our core sound. That is hard to do at times, but worth it to stay fresh. Lyrically nothing has changed... Again just trying to find a fresh approach or fresh idea.
Q: Instead of relying on outside writers, you have a few songs on the new record that you've co-written. Does song writing come easily? What are some of the songs you have contributed on this new album?
I was honored to cowrite five songs with some great friends... Wayne Haun, Joel Lindsey & Lee Black. Writing is fun and allows me to express my heart in a certain way. Also I love helping create melodies that will help make the song go. Very excited about writing more on this album.
Q: Speaking of being thankful, name something you are thankful to God for as you were making this album?
Salvation, my family, the guys I minister with and the ministry God has allowed us to see.
Q: Congratulations on the release of "Thankful." Did you approach the making with specific goals in mind?
We just wanted to find the best songs that we all agree on and again Taking some musical chances along the way.
Q: What are you most excited about this new record?
The songs. I feel like we have 11 songs that fit any situation we could encounter. These tunes will fit in Nicely with those we already use in our set already. That's exciting. We also pray this album reaches those who might be new Christians or aren't believers at all and keep them interested enough to hear the Gospel and help them grow in their faith.
Q: I love your rendition of Zach Williams' "Chain Breaker." Why did you decide to cut a Triumphant version of this gorgeous song?
We all loved it and wanted to do it! It's That simple. Again, another example of wanting to stay fresh and try something different but with a great message.
